Hello! My name is Bella Traynor, I'm born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, and I am a kindergarten teacher and the author of 'Nature's Magic Potion.' As a child I was always daydreaming about pursuing my creative side, wishing and hoping that I could share that part of myself with the world. 
As an adult I am lucky enough to have this opportunity to share my passion for nature play and holistic learning for young children through writing and publishing my very first book! 

The concept of 'Nature's Magic Potion' stems from my engagement with young children in nature. As a teacher I see every-day how nature play and natural spaces enhance children's learning, supports their ability to regulate and encourages their creativity. This is a well-known concept that I am passionate about and hope to inspire more families and educational settings to engage with. 

I have been incredibly blessed to have Irin Hurren as my illustrator, who is also a close friend and fellow childhood educator. For the last two years we have worked together, before soon realising we had the power to create change in early childhood development, education and wellbeing.

Illustrator: Irin "Eve" Hurren

Hello, My name is Eve, also known as Irin Hurren.
I am a friend and co-educator of Bella and also happen to be the illustrator of 'Nature's Magic Potion.' I have a deep passion for nature and animals and enjoy exploring these concepts through my artwork.

Growing up in Thailand I spent a lot of time in the countryside with my dad while he worked, sparking my interest in nature. From a young age I was always captivated by the natural world, and when I had the opportunity to move to Australia, I fell in love all over again. 

Over the past two years Bella and I have worked closely together, sharing the same values and intentions, particularly when it comes to education. Together we have strived to express our ideas in ways that that not only engage children but also help adults better understand and appreciate our natural world.
